So here are my pumpkins I started growing here in Florida. I started October 5th. These are from Oct 10th. It had been raining until the 10th on and off with cooler weather. Now it has been in the upper 80's and sunny all day. You are normally supposed to plant these in April- June down here in Florida.
This type I planted was a Small Sugar Pumpkin. The species is C.pepo. They take 90-115 to mature and grow to about 6-8 pounds.
Now normally down here in this warm climate the species C. moschata grow the best. So now you can see why this is an experiment.
I chose this variety because I do not have a large space for pumpkins. I planted only two seeds.
